AppSecCon 2023 is Almost Here
AppSecCon 2023 is coming on June 28-29th, and it’s shaping up to be a huge event. Last year, the conference drew over 2,200 people to two days of powerful sessions with incredible discussions and energy coming through. This year it continues to grow, with 20 sessions and hands-on workshops led by software security leaders from around the globe. AppSecCon is hosted by The Purple Book Community for the benefit of the software security community, and is free to attend.
While AppSecCon 2022 centered on the launch of The Purple Book of Software Security, this year's conference pays special attention to the Purple Book Community's latest initiative: Journey to AppSec Maturity. Mature application security programs are essential to protecting software in today's dynamic environment, but the journey to maturity is seldom clear, or easy to navigate. To change this status quo, the Community has set out to:
- Create practical educational resources for security leaders and practitioners
- Engage and educate software security and development teams
- Develop a modern, scalable model for assessing application security maturity
